“Water II”

Water is a life giver.

And yet we must save its life.

There’s still a chance –  for it is still rife.

But we must hurry, before it’s too late.

The consequences would seal our planet’s fate.

Water has been wasted,

Water has been polluted.

That

goes undisputed.

We need water to live, we need water to thrive.

And if we waste it all, then we’ll stop being alive.

Literary Intent

This poem is the sequel to my first one, and is also about water, however, this one has a more urgent tone. It is both shorter, and more direct, but still conveys a strong message, and helps create a sense of urgency for our planet, and its water supply.
